Samuel Pop is a storyteller from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he lives with his parents and younger sister. What began as a childhood hobby of sketching comic strips and crafting short tales has grown into a lifelong passion for imaginative storytelling.
When he's not writing, Samuel can often be found shelving books at the library, composing original music, playing the violin or spending time with family and friends. He is already at work on future novels and short story collections that will continue to explore the worlds born from his vivid imagination.
Origin
My cousin is a fun person to be around. One day while we were hanging out, she just happened to mutter, "Huh. I wonder what it would be like if two kids went to their grandparent's cherry farm in Romania and fell into a tree into some catacombs, and ran into a cat."
My first thought was along the lines of, 'how ridiculous is that?' But as I thought it over some more, I figured there might be something there. So when I came back to my home in Ohio, I went to my computer and typed the idea out. A couple more pages developed, then I had an idea for Kilded and oglers and shifters— Kyran was growing right before my eyes. Some time later, I had finished Dragon Caves: The Discovery, and I have no one to thank but my wonderful and creative cousin for the idea it sprouted from.
